While on a trip to Washington D.C., I met a graduation class from Quantico.  I thanked them for continuing the tradition of the United States Marine Corps.  The statement was made by a 1st Lt. that “It would be an easy task” and thanked us because it has been so well taken care of and left in such good shape.

SHAWNEE UNIT MCLA JOINS THE SHAGBARK GIRL SCOUT GOLD AWARD WINNERS AS
"CALENDAR GIRLS"
Since 2003 the Shawnee Unit MCLA has purchased and presented Gold Award pins to the girl scouts who have successfully earned the Gold Awards.
IL Department President and Shawnee Unit member, Sue Whitlock presented certificates from the Department and assisted Donna Ketring, Shawnee Unit member and co-leader and cookie manager for Shagbark Council Girl Scouts in presenting the Gold Award pins.
This project has been one which the unit feels is money well spent on the leaders of the future.
